Wow. Choosing just ten favorite photos to share from 2015 was pretty tough. But I did it–sort of. If you are the type of person who counts, there are actually eleven images in this post. But it’s my business. I can do whatever I want to do, right? That’s actually a lesson I’ve learned this year–to use my freedom.
But back to the top ten. I mean top eleven.
These are in no particular order. Each caption goes with the picture directly above it. (I hate it when you have to guess.)
Hands down, this is the most styling I’ve ever done for a photo session, and I love the sweet, summer-y feel of this image. Jenni and Tyler were also super fun to work with.
I adore the dreaminess of this maternity session. I typically shoot maternity outdoors, so this was something new for me.
In case you didn’t hear…..I went to New York City with my sister during Spring Break 2015. Our trip was amazing, and I brought home tons of images. But you’ve probably seen pretty much those same exact pictures before from other photographers. So I picked one for this list that pretty much sums up at least some of the city’s vibe. Sorry it’s not the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building or something else iconic. But at least some of that stuff is blurred in the background. :)
Dakota is one of my brides for 2016. This image is from her engagement session. She is stunning, and I love her fresh floral crown (handmade by her mom). I’m so excited about her upcoming wedding!
I’m including this image from a food tour that my family and I took in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s such a peaceful scene, and the styling of this table makes me feel right at home.
This is from an engagement session at Big Talbot Island State Park. We laughed and had a great time during the entire photoshoot! I love how this couple interacted, and it really shows in the images. Such a fun session!
These two little ladies are full of personality! I love this black and white close up. This is actually the second session I’ve done with them. They are both so sweet!
Kia found me on Instagram and drove in from central Florida for her maternity session. Her confidence is golden, and she rocked her photoshoot. This particular image was taken in a new area for me at a park I often use. I never realized this corner of Camp Milton Historic Preserve existed before!
You may recognize this as the showpiece building for Florida Polytechnic University. It was one of our stops on a college road trip I chaperoned earlier this year. The slats actually move with the sun, creating an ever-changing environment. They are designed to conserve energy. Pretty cool.
Kara was my most organized senior EVER, and I’m totally in love with this image shot in the parking lot (of all places) of Big Talbot Island State Park.
When Gracie just HAD to have this costume for Halloween, I knew I needed to do a photoshoot. She makes a great warrior princess! My little girl is growing up fast!
