Run | Jacksonville photographer

I am a runner, and for some time now I’ve been wanting to do a running-themed session.  My friend and fellow runner, Amanda, graciously agreed to be my model.  Running is such a big part of our lives.  There’s so much emotion there–the strain, the mental toughness, the joy of accomplishing difficult things.  We chose to shoot at Camp Milton Historic Preserve, which is conveniently next to the Baldwin Trail.  This ended up being a great personal project for me because (1) I got to document something that I love.  (2) I played around with a few different editing techniques than I would normally use (such as adding textures.)  (3)  Since running sessions are not very common, I created almost all of the poses myself. There were no Pinterest boards to browse–no blog posts for inspiration.  It was just me, my ideas, and my camera.  And so two of the things I love dearly have come together in this collection of images.
