{Tillie Fowler Park}

One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2012 is to blog more.  So….here are a few pics from when I took my family that was visiting to Tennessee to Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park.  We didn’t stay very long because it was cold and windy.  But I was able to snap a few pics anyway.  Here are some of my boys…

…..the lighting was so good, I hardly had to edit the images at all!
The park is across from the main entrance to the naval air station on Hwy. 17.  About 100 years ago, the park was a remounting station for the army.  Or the calvary, I guess.  Anyway, there were tons of barraks and stables.  There were brick roads.  Some of them remain intact and are part of the trails.  How cool is that???

Here is one of my favorite pics that I took all week.  It’s my three and my sister’s two children walking along a trail.

My youngest niece did NOT want her picture taken, but here’s a great shot of her sister.  :)

Even though we didn’t stay long, our visit to the park was a lot of fun.  It was great to get out of the house.  And it was free, too!  My kids want to go back soon and hike all of the trails when the weather is better.
